*Arctic Silver 5 With its unique high-density filling of micronized silver and enhanced thermally conductive ceramic particles is optimized for use between modern high-power CPUs and high performance heatsinks or water-cooling solutions. *ArctiClean is a two-step cleaning process that removes existing thermal grease or pads and prepares the thermal surface for a fresh application of thermal interface material. ArctiClean 1 Thermal Material Remover quickly emulsifies and dissolves the existing thermal grease or pad from the CPU and/or heatsink so that it can easily be removed with a clean cloth or paper towel. « Just what I needed for my project »

I had tried to find thermal pads that were a certain thickness but they are very hard to come by. I was fabricating a heatsink for a graphics card and upgrading the graphics card on my laptop. Needless to say, this product did the trick.

« Only used thermal paste once, but it works »

I'm not an experienced CPU upgrader, but this was "the stuff to use" based on a variety of websites I researched the process. It worked, not much else to say. I'm not sure the cleaning and prep products matter, seems to me alcohol and a lint free rag would do the same, but it simply wasn't all that expensive to buy the whole kit, which comes with the lint free cloth.

Good quality compound from Arctic Silver!
Bought mainly because of the actual thermal compound, but thought that the cleaning kit is a nice plus!
Cleaning kit came in handy when having to reassemble the cpu/cooler into a new pc chassis.
