When you require exact measuring, you reach for a caliper. But an accurate measurement is meaningless if you can't read it accurately. This caliper takes an essential tool into the 21st century with an extra-large LCD digital readout for exact internal and outside measurements accurate to .001". Instantly converts from SAE or Metric, the display can be zeroed at any point on the slide. Machine-grooved thumb-roll mechanism and position lock for sure adjustment. Hardened stainless steel shaft with depth-measurement probe, precision ground jaws. On-off switch with auto-off, two long-life batteries included (one extra).

Another happy camper here

I've had a really nice digital Mitutoyo (Made in Japan) for over 10 years and now I bought this really cheap Neiko (Made in China) just to have an extra in my spare toolbox.
It is a nicely made tool for what it cost. The storage case is really nice with real hinges instead of flexing plastics. I took a few different measurements to compare it to the Mitutoyo and was pleased to find them the same to the last digit.
Digits are extra LARGE and easy to read.
For 1/10th of the Mitutoyo price this is a nice cheap tool that seems reliable enough for all non rocket science related projects.
My only regret is: for only 3 extra bucks I should've gotten the 8" version of the Neiko caliper.

Outstanding value - decent quality.

I only paid $15 for this tool and have had it for a year and have been quite pleased. It rivals many of the $100 brand name calipers that I've seen where I work. It even comes with a sturdy plastic case and a spare battery at no extra charge.

Neiko 6" Digital Caliper
»
This caliper is just great.. It is accurate and is easily operated. The price is just right for the quality of the caliper. Calipers of greater cost have no advantage on this one.

Useless tools

The readings taken with this tool were so unstable that
trying to use it became impossible.
