Finally a way to keep unwanted animals out of the garden and protect your yard, fruit trees, vegetables and flowers from hungry or destructive creatures. Cats, dogs, deer, rabbits, large birds, and many others. The patented Scarecrow motion-activated sprinkler is the smartest scarecrow ever invented. When it sees an intruder it instantly releases full garden hose water pressure towards the trespasser. The effect is both startling and immediate. Animals quickly get out of the area and avoid it in the future. The ScareCrow motion-activated sprinkler is constructed of durable, high-quality materials, and has been designed to provide many years of reliable service. Side view of spray radius. Click to enlarge. | Top view of spray radius. Click to enlarge. | Using the ScareCrow is easy. Simply attach a standard garden hose to its base, set the ScareCrow in the ground in the area you want to protect, and then turn on the water. Once you switch the unit on, it is ready to go. How does it work? The ScareCrow uses a combination of sudden noise, unexpected movement, and a startling blast of water to create a memorable and unpleasant experience for the trespasser. The animal immediately associates this unpleasant experience with the location, and to avoid similar surprises, learns to avoid the area. If an animal chooses to return, the ScareCrow will be waiting. While a human may flee several steps after activating a ScareCrow, animals are typically affected to a much greater degree. In most cases they run much farther, and stay away longer. Because the unit only triggers when the animal moves, its behavior is difficult for animals to anticipate, making it a very effective deterrent.

I feel sorry for the mailman, not really. hehe!

I bought this product because of random dog poop in my small front yard. I find it deplorable that people would let their dogs drop a deuce on anyone's lawn, much less a neighbor. I tried various things and nothing worked, the usual sprays, ammonia, and I even got to the point of taking the poo and shoveling it into the street, so the owner's would have to walk on the mess themselves. Frankly, I was getting tired of stepping in dog crap when mowing the lawn or just walking to get around the house.
I installed the scarecrow in about 10 minutes and had it working great. Just trying to get the right spray projected in the right direction is probably the most time consuming but not difficult. I think it's a cool deterrent, I've already got a kick out of seeing people trying to bring their dogs to poop and once the scarecrow goes off the dogs looks baffled and the owner just walks away and keeps looking back trying to figure out what the hell just happened. I love it.
I think the mailman is going to have to learn to walk around the motion eye if he wants to stay dry. I'd feel sorry for him but his kind of jerk in his right. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an annoying dog or critter problem. It works!

Every day when I went out into my front yard garden I cleaned up after the neighbors cat who had used my garden to relieve itself. I bought the scarecrow, as suggested by my friend. I am totally thrilled with the results. No more cats! This is a gentle, humane way to deter animals from invading my gardens! I plan to purchase another scarecrow soon .

It's keeping the neighbors cats away from my bird feeder very effectively. I will try it this coming spring on the deer that eat my garden. Hopefully I can stop putting up my electric fence

This works great the only problems that bug me is the stake which comes with it is not worth a hoot. Better buy a piece of iron rod to hammer in the ground and then use a hose clamp to clamp the base to the iron rod. One other thing that I did not consider is...When the sprinkler system comes on, the motion dector goes to work too. The only way to turn it off is to remember to go out and do it before the sprinklers come on. Otherwise you will use a lot of batteries. Should have a timer on it.

I bought the scarecrow about 6 months ago. The product really does work. Deer were eating tomatoe plants but after installing the scarecrow the tomatoe plants grew untouched without the protection of a fence. The only downside is that I need to shut it off when it gets windy becasue it senses leaf movement which triggers the spraying.
